Key Responsibilities

In this challenging and rewarding position, your core responsibilities will include:

• Leading Audit Engagements: Oversee and execute comprehensive audit engagements for telecom clients, ensuring adherence to international auditing standards (ISA) and regulatory requirements. Manage end-to-end audit processes, from planning and risk assessment to fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
• Risk Assessment & Compliance: Identify and evaluate financial, operational, and compliance risks specific to the telecom sector. Develop tailored audit plans to address these risks, providing actionable recommendations to enhance internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with senior leadership, finance teams, and telecom executives to understand business objectives and align audit strategies accordingly. Serve as a trusted advisor, presenting findings and insights in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
• Industry-Specific Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of telecom industry dynamics, including revenue assurance, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technological advancements to deliver forward-thinking audit solutions.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior audit professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Guide team members in developing technical skills, industry expertise, and client management capabilities.
• Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure the highest standards of audit quality by implementing robust review processes and leveraging innovative tools and methodologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive audit experience, with at least 2+ years in the telecom sector or a related industry. Prior exposure to Big 4 or large audit firms is a strong advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit methodologies, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools. Familiarity with ERP systems, data analytics, and audit software such as ACL, IDEA, or TeamMate is beneficial.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
