Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Saudi National (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)

Deloitte Middle East is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Audit & Assurance Professional to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our Audit & Assurance practice, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. This position is exclusively open to Saudi nationals who possess a strong technical background, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to professional excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements, overseeing junior team members, and ensuring compliance with international auditing standards and local regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying financial risks, evaluating internal controls, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity for our clients. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including tax, advisory, and consulting professionals, to deliver integrated solutions that address complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engagement Leadership: Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and local Saudi regulations to assess financial statements and disclosures.
• Team Supervision: Mentor and guide junior auditors, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and delivering tailored audit solutions that meet their needs.
• Risk Assessment & Control Evaluation: Identify and evaluate financial risks, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and recommend improvements to mitigate potential issues.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to clients, senior management, and stakeholders.
• Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging audit methodologies to continuously enhance your technical and leadership skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A recognized professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a reputable firm or corporate environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of IFRS, ISA, and Saudi-specific accounting and auditing standards. Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is essential.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory framework in Saudi Arabia, including the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) and Capital Market Authority (CMA) requirements.
