Key Responsibilities

In this critical position, you will be responsible for leading and executing audit engagements from planning to completion. Your duties will include:

• Engagement Leadership: Oversee and manage audit engagements for mining clients, ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Statement Audits: Conduct detailed reviews of financial statements, internal controls, and risk management processes to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting standards, including IFRS and ISA, while maintaining a deep understanding of mining-specific regulations.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and actionable feedback on audit findings and recommendations.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and development.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify key risks in mining operations and propose strategic solutions to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are highly desirable.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience, with at least 3 years focused on the mining sector or a related industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, financial reporting frameworks, and internal control systems. Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Cultural Fit: A commitment to ethical integrity, teamwork, and continuous learning. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills, particularly Arabic, are advantageous.
