Emerging Technology Services Engineer
الوصف الوظيفي
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Emerging Technology Services Engineer with a proven track record of 6 to 11 years in software engineering, cloud technologies, AI/ML, or innovation-driven initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving our organization’s digital transformation by researching, evaluating, and implementing cutting-edge technologies that address complex business and technical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AI/ML experimentation, cloud-native architectures, automation, and orchestration, with a strong ability to translate innovative concepts into scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and champion the adoption of emerging technologies that align with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Evaluation & Innovation: Conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies, assess their potential impact, and recommend adoption strategies that drive business value. Lead innovation enablement initiatives through rapid prototyping, pilot implementations, and technology assessments.
- AI/ML Development & Deployment: Design, develop, and deliver AI/ML-based Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate new ideas, optimize workflows, and enhance decision-making processes. Leverage generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI frameworks to build intelligent solutions that solve real-world problems.
- Cloud-Native Solution Architecture: Architect and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions on leading platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Utilize microservices, containers, and Kubernetes to modernize infrastructure and improve operational agility.
- Automation & Orchestration: Develop and deploy automated workflows, provisioning systems, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistency, scalability, and governance across environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, architecture, product, and business teams to identify innovation opportunities, align technology initiatives with organizational goals, and ensure seamless integration of new solutions into existing systems.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation for solution architectures, technical findings, and best practices. Mentor technical teams on emerging technologies, innovation frameworks, and modern development methodologies to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Technology Governance & Review: Participate in architecture reviews, technology governance initiatives, and strategic planning sessions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 6 to 11 years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud technologies, AI/ML, or innovation-driven initiatives.
- AI/ML Expertise: Hands-on experience in AI/ML PoC development, including machine learning model development, evaluation, and deployment. Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, and AI frameworks is highly desirable.
- Cloud & Cloud-Native Technologies: Proven experience with cloud-native exploration and solution development on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of microservices, containers, and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Automation & Orchestration: Strong background in automation and orchestration using modern enterprise tools and scripting frameworks. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a significant advantage.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex technical challenges, design innovative solutions, and drive decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
- Agile & DevOps Practices: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control are essential.
