As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in automating and optimizing our operations, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and security across our global digital platform. This is a full-time position based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, exclusively for Saudi nationals. Our Technology Stack

Our platform is built on a robust and mature technology stack, including:

• Backend: Django and Celery for backend processing, including SMS and notification management.
• Frontend: Vue.js for dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
• Admin Interfaces: Combination of Django admin and Vue.js-based admin panels for operational management.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Multi-cloud deployment across various vendors, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Automation & Orchestration: Ansible for deployment orchestration and automation, with GitLab for source control and continuous integration.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git workflows, including branching, rebasing, and collaborative development practices.

Key Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer at Democrance, your responsibilities will include:

• Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud and bare-metal environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Automation & Orchestration: Develop and maintain automation scripts and configurations using tools like Ansible and Terraform to streamline deployment, scaling, and management processes.
• Disaster Recovery & Security: Create and implement robust disaster recovery plans and conduct regular security audits to safeguard data integrity and prevent breaches.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Establish comprehensive monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact end-users, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Meticulously document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure team continuity and enable seamless collaboration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to align technical solutions with organizational goals and drive innovation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth experience with cloud platforms (multi-cloud environments are a plus), Linux system administration, and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in shell scripting and other automation frameworks to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention.
• Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of security best practices, including auditing, vulnerability assessment, and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Ability to design and implement monitoring solutions, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Communication & Documentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, concise, and actionable documentation.
• Problem-Solving: A passion for troubleshooting, innovation, and continuous learning in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of the business impact of technical decisions and a commitment to driving financial inclusion through technology.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage, and additional languages are highly desirable.
• Cultural Fit: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a highly motivated, multidisciplinary team. Prior experience in a startup or agile environment is a plus.
