Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Centre Software Engineer – Rack Management to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust software applications for rack-level management, including monitoring, control, and automation systems. Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java to create scalable and high-performance solutions.
• System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate rack management software with existing data centre infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation across heterogeneous environments.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements, enhancing the overall efficiency and responsiveness of rack management solutions.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all software solutions adhere to industry best practices for security, data protection, and regulatory compliance, safeguarding critical infrastructure against potential threats.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues within rack management systems, minimizing downtime and maintaining high availability for mission-critical operations.
• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in data centre management, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation and conduct training sessions to ensure smooth adoption and utilization of rack management software by internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Java, or similar languages, with experience in software development for embedded systems, IoT, or data centre environments. Familiarity with protocols such as SNMP, REST APIs, and MQTT is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a focus on data centre management, rack-level solutions, or infrastructure automation. Prior experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical challenges, develop effective solutions, and implement them under tight deadlines. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies is preferred.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in data centre management, cloud computing, or cybersecurity (e.g., CDCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a strong asset.
