Key Responsibilities
- Security Architecture Design: Develop and implement comprehensive data security architectures that align with industry best practices and organizational objectives. This includes designing encryption protocols, access controls, and network security measures to mitigate risks.
- Privacy Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to international, regional, and local data privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and local Saudi data protection laws. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Perform thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in data handling processes. Develop and execute mitigation strategies to address identified risks, including threat modeling and vulnerability management.
- Incident Response & Forensics: Lead the investigation and response to security incidents, including data breaches or unauthorized access. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contain threats, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Create, update, and enforce data security and privacy policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure these documents are communicated effectively across the organization and integrated into daily operations.
- Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data security best practices, privacy policies, and their roles in maintaining a secure environment. Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
- Vendor & Third-Party Risk Management: Assess and monitor the security posture of third-party vendors and partners who handle sensitive data. Ensure they comply with Datamatics Technologies’ security and privacy requirements.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to align security initiatives with business goals. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure seamless integration of security measures across all systems and processes.
Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) or privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in data security, privacy engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in industries with stringent regulatory requirements is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), network security, and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT. Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, DLP, and vulnerability scanners is essential.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of global data privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and local regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia. Experience in conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs) is advantageous.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) are preferred.
