International CDI/Coding Consultant

As part of our global CDI consulting team, you will travel extensively (50% - 75% of the time) to collaborate with diverse clients and make a significant impact by:

• Conducting retrospective chart reviews to assess documentation accuracy, completeness, and specificity.
• Applying expert knowledge of ICD-10 code sets, procedure code sets, and DRG classification systems to identify documentation and coding gaps.
• Shadowing physicians, coders, and CDI staff to understand current workflows and documentation practices.
• Interviewing key stakeholders to gather insights into existing documentation challenges.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of hospitals' CDI processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Developing structured queries and feedback to clarify or enhance documentation.
• Compiling audit findings into clear, actionable reports for management and executive levels.
• Conducting knowledge transfer sessions to educate client teams on best practices in documentation and compliance.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality and data security in handling patient records and hospital information.
• Participating in aggregating data trends and audit findings to prepare management and executive level summation reports.
• Attending meetings with key stakeholders to revise and implement improvement strategies.
