Key Responsibilities

The Senior GIS / BIM Specialist will play a critical role in integrating GIS and BIM technologies to support comprehensive asset management strategies. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Asset Data Integration: Develop and implement robust processes for integrating GIS and BIM data with asset management systems to create a unified, accurate, and up-to-date repository of asset information.
• Spatial Analysis and Visualization: Conduct advanced spatial analysis to identify trends, assess risks, and optimize asset performance. Utilize GIS tools to create dynamic visualizations that support data-driven decision-making.
• BIM Model Development: Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed BIM models for infrastructure assets, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational objectives.
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement asset lifecycle management strategies, from planning and design to construction, operation, and decommissioning.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all GIS and BIM deliverables comply with local, regional, and international regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between technical teams, management, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and alignment on asset management initiatives.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in GIS and BIM to recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance asset management efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification in GIS, BIM, or Asset Management is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in GIS and BIM, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role within asset management or a related discipline.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
  • Expertise in BIM software including Autodesk Revit, Bentley Systems, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management systems and databases (e.g., IBM Maximo, SAP PM, or similar).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or JavaScript for automation and customization.
  • Experience with CAD, 3D modeling, and spatial data analysis tools.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects with minimal supervision.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as GIS Professional (GISP), Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in BIM, or similar credentials are a plus.
