Key Responsibilities

As a Containerization & Virtualisation Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Container Orchestration: Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift. Ensure seamless scalability, high availability, and efficient resource utilization.
• Virtualization Management: Develop and maintain virtualized environments using technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Infrastructure Automation: Implement and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to streamline deployment, configuration, and management processes.
• Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security best practices, including network segmentation, access controls, and vulnerability management within containerized and virtualized environments.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Utilize monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal system uptime and reliability.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with software development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align on technical requirements and document processes, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Programming & Scripting: Strong skills in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
