Team Leader - HVDC C&C Site Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader - HVDC C&C Site Support to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will lead a group of skilled professionals in providing comprehensive site support for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Control & Command (C&C) systems. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these critical systems, thereby contributing to the seamless functioning of our projects. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on HVDC C&C systems, including installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance. Troubleshoot complex issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders, to align site support activities with project objectives. Ensure seamless communication and coordination to meet deliverables.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all site activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety protocols. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a secure working environment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, technical reports, and maintenance logs. Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and organize skill development programs to enhance technical competencies. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing timely solutions. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality support and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) will be considered an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HVDC systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven track record in site support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVDC C&C systems.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of HVDC technology, control systems, and SCADA. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for system analysis and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Safety and Compliance: Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and adherence to regulatory requirements. Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
