Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and trial balances, with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements, providing clear and concise insights to management.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and reconciliation to optimize cash flow and maintain strong vendor and customer relationships.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory filings, while staying updated on changes in tax legislation to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of financial data through regular audits and reconciliations.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
• System & Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend improvements, including the implementation of accounting software or automation tools to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a trading or commercial environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle Financials, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling).
• Strong understanding of IFRS, local tax laws, and regulatory compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial dealings.
