Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications utilizing the Quarkus framework, ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering and performance optimization.
• Framework Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Quarkus-based solutions with existing systems, databases, and third-party APIs, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize application performance, leveraging Quarkus features such as native compilation, reactive programming, and efficient resource management to deliver high-speed, low-latency solutions.
• Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while implementing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with architects, product managers, and other developers to define technical requirements, review code, and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies to safeguard sensitive data and system integrity.
• Deployment & DevOps: Participate in CI/CD pipeline development, automate deployment processes, and monitor application performance in production environments to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 11 or later) with a deep understanding of the Quarkus framework, including its extensions, native compilation, and reactive programming models.
• Backend Development: Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Micronaut, or similar technologies.
• Database & ORM: Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and ORM tools like Hibernate or JPA.
• Cloud & Containerization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment.
• Education & Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications in Java, Quarkus, or cloud technologies are advantageous.
