We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Data Engineering to spearhead our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities at Jobgether, a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

The Head of Data Engineering will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data engineering strategy aligned with Jobgether’s business goals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Data Architecture & Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time processing systems, to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
• Data Pipeline Development: Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines that ensure seamless data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across the organization, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Technology Stack & Innovation: Evaluate, adopt, and integrate emerging technologies and tools to enhance our data engineering capabilities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with data science, product, and business teams to understand their data needs, provide actionable insights, and drive data-driven solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and other regulatory requirements, while maintaining the highest levels of data integrity and confidentiality.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize data systems for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for data-driven innovation. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data engineering, cloud computing, or big data technologies are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Prior experience in the recruitment, HR tech, or SaaS industry is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) is essential.
• Leadership & Management: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering complex data projects on time and within budget. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are critical.
• Problem-Solving & Innovation: A strategic thinker with a passion for solving complex data challenges, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement through innovation and best practices.
• Industry Knowledge: Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in data engineering, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
