Position Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager at lululemon within Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle | Operations, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to drive operational excellence, achieve sales targets, and cultivate a high-performing team. This position requires a proactive leader who can step into the Store Manager’s role during their absence, ensuring seamless store operations, adherence to brand standards, and an unparalleled customer experience. Your responsibilities will encompass team management, sales optimization, compliance with company policies, and strategic collaboration with internal departments to align with broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Experience Leadership: Champion exceptional customer service standards by fostering a customer-centric culture within the store team. Analyze and anticipate individual customer needs while staying informed about current trends and competitive landscapes to deliver memorable experiences.
• Team Development & Performance: Drive the store team to consistently exceed customer service expectations, ensuring alignment with company and brand customer experience (CX) standards. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their capabilities and contribute to overall store success.
• Sales & Business Growth: Take ownership of sales targets and proactively identify opportunities to boost revenue and improve business performance. Collaborate with Marketing, Buying, and Planning teams to execute sales promotions and brand initiatives, ensuring maximum impact and alignment with company goals.
• Operational Excellence: Manage daily store operations with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and profitability. In the absence of the Store Manager, act as their deputy, addressing operational disruptions promptly and maintaining business continuity.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Implement and enforce company policies and guidelines to minimize stock loss, damage, and operational risks. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security protocols to create a secure and compliant retail environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with support teams, providing actionable feedback to Marketing, Buying, and Planning departments to refine strategies and enhance store performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required; additional certification in a retail-related field is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in retail management, with a proven track record in team leadership and sales performance.
• Strong management skills, including the ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operational planning, problem-solving, and decision-making to navigate challenges and optimize store performance.
