Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation Support: Assist in the meticulous preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits to meet culinary standards.
• Kitchen Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen area, ensuring a safe and sanitary workspace for all team members.
• Equipment and Utensil Maintenance: Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment to support efficient kitchen operations.
• Inventory Management: Properly store food items and adhere to the FIFO (First In, First Out) system to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Delivery Coordination: Assist with the receipt and stocking of deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and timely integration into kitchen workflows.
• Team Collaboration: Follow directives from chefs and kitchen supervisors with precision, contributing to a cohesive and productive team environment.
• Waste Disposal Compliance: Adhere to established waste disposal procedures to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a Kitchen Assistant role or a similar position within a culinary environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with fundamental food hygiene and safety protocols, including adherence to local and international standards.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
