About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director – Airport Asset Management & Information Governance to lead and oversee critical initiatives in asset management and information governance within airport infrastructure projects. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing asset performance in a dynamic and high-stakes environment. Key Responsibilities
The Project Director will be responsible for a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies for airport asset management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Project Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams to execute airport asset management and information governance projects, from inception to completion, while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to international, national, and local regulations governing airport operations, asset management, and data governance, including ISO standards and aviation authority requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, government agencies, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to foster strong relationships and drive consensus on project objectives and deliverables.
- Asset Optimization: Implement data-driven methodologies to enhance the lifecycle management of airport assets, including infrastructure, equipment, and technology systems, to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Information Governance: Establish and maintain robust information governance frameworks to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of critical airport data, including passenger information, operational records, and compliance documentation.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with asset management and information governance, proactively addressing potential threats to operational continuity and regulatory compliance.
- Innovation & Technology Integration: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, AI, and predictive analytics to revolutionize asset management and information governance practices within the airport ecosystem.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of asset management and information governance initiatives, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CGEIT, or ISO 55000) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in airport asset management, information governance, or a closely related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial capacity.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of asset management systems (e.g., CMMS, EAM), information governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements specific to airport operations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings to executive leadership.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), asset management (e.g., ISO 55000), or information governance (e.g., CIPP, CGEIT) are a plus.
