Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Outfit Engineer to join our infrastructure and construction team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in the design, coordination, and integration of architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) outfitting systems for our cutting-edge projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering projects that meet stringent quality, safety, and budgetary requirements while adhering to international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design and Integration: Develop and integrate outfitting systems for infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural requirements while optimizing functionality and efficiency.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive engineering drawings, layouts, technical specifications, and material schedules to guide project execution and ensure clarity among stakeholders.
- Discipline Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration between architectural, civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines to ensure cohesive project development and execution.
- Review and Compliance: Evaluate contractor shop drawings and technical submittals to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Procurement and Inspection: Coordinate procurement activities and conduct site inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet project standards and contractual obligations.
- Issue Resolution: Address engineering challenges proactively, providing technical solutions and preparing detailed reports to support decision-making and project continuity.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to foster collaboration and ensure project success.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and construction projects, with a proven track record in outfitting system design and integration.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM (Building Information Modeling), Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of project execution.
