Key Responsibilities

The Tendering Engineer will play a pivotal role in the company’s success by overseeing and executing the tendering and bidding processes with precision and expertise. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Tendering and Bidding Expertise: Demonstrating professional proficiency in end-to-end tendering processes, from initial bid preparation to final submission, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Technical and Commercial Proposal Development: Crafting compelling and accurate technical and commercial proposals that align with customer requirements, project specifications, and industry best practices.
• Contract and Documentation Mastery: Analyzing and interpreting contract terms, conditions, and tender documentation to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with project objectives and legal frameworks.
• Cost Estimation and Pricing: Applying advanced cost estimation techniques and pricing principles to develop competitive yet profitable bids, leveraging deep knowledge of cable products, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
• Turnkey Bid Management: Overseeing the preparation and submission of turnkey bids for complex projects, including Underground (UG), Overhead Line (OHL), and Substation (SS) projects, ensuring seamless integration of technical and commercial aspects.
• ERP and Digital Proficiency: Utilizing ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to streamline tendering workflows, generate reports, and enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engaging with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to gather customer requirements and align tender submissions with project specifications and organizational goals.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in tendering, proposal development, sales support, project estimation, or a related engineering environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality bids.
• Technical and Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cable products, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards, along with familiarity with turnkey project requirements.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to assess project feasibility, pricing strategies, and risk factors, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical and commercial concepts.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English, with the ability to draft and review documents in both languages with precision and clarity.
• Technological Aptitude: Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to leverage these tools to enhance productivity and accuracy in tender preparation.
