Key Responsibilities

The QA/QC Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all project phases. Your responsibilities will include:

• Quality System Implementation: Execute the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Quality Management System (QMS) to maintain compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Comprehensive Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of civil, architectural, structural, and MEP works to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) while documenting Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborative Oversight: Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and resolve discrepancies proactively.
• Material and Method Verification: Review material approvals, shop drawings, technical submittals, and method statements from a quality assurance perspective, ensuring all documentation meets project requirements.
• Testing and Compliance: Oversee testing activities in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), verifying laboratory and field test results for materials such as concrete, steel, soil, waterproofing, and finishes.
• Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous QA/QC records, quality reports, and audit trails to support project handover and regulatory compliance.
• Subcontractor Performance: Monitor and evaluate subcontractor quality performance, ensuring strict adherence to contractual obligations and company standards.
• HSE Compliance: Uphold company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols during all inspection activities to safeguard project integrity and personnel well-being.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion quality awareness initiatives and foster a culture of excellence across project teams to drive operational efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years in QA/QC roles within construction projects, with a preference for experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise developments.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, Quality Management Systems, and construction standards, including familiarity with international codes and best practices.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, IRs, MIRs, NCRs, and material approval processes.
• Contractor Experience: Prior experience working with a main contractor is highly advantageous.
