Job Overview

As a Senior Network Security Engineer at Geidea, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our network infrastructure across multiple regions, including KSA, UAE, India, and Egypt. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and high availability of our network security systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing robust security measures to mitigate risks and support Geidea’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Security Management: Oversee the smooth operation of Geidea’s network security infrastructure, including Cisco routers and switches, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and emerging technologies. Ensure seamless configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across all regions.
• PCI Compliance: Configure and maintain PCI-related rules for network and security devices within the Geidea PCI scope, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Provide Level 3 support for complex networking issues, employing systematic troubleshooting methodologies to resolve incidents efficiently and minimize downtime.
• Infrastructure Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation for NOC, LAN, WAN, and NSP network infrastructure. This includes High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) diagrams to ensure clarity and consistency across the team.
• Incident Management: Accurately record, track, and resolve all network-related cases using the company’s ticket management tool, ensuring timely closure within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of collaboration by sharing best practices, contributing to knowledge base communications, and participating in team meetings to enhance collective expertise.
• Project Support: Take ownership of new networking projects, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful implementation and integration.
• Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with network and telecom suppliers to evaluate new solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Policy Adherence: Strictly adhere to Geidea’s information security practices, policies, and escalation procedures. Report any security events or disturbances that may jeopardize the organization’s infrastructure.
• Security Framework Compliance: Review and apply best practices related to PCI-DSS and other relevant security frameworks to maintain a robust and compliant network environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a similar role, with a proven track record in network security and infrastructure management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications: Vendor-specific certifications such as F5, Palo Alto, and FortiGate are mandatory. A CCIE certification is a strong plus.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of F5 load balancers, firewalls, routers, and switches, along with experience in PCI-DSS compliance and fintech environments.
• Documentation & Design: Strong skills in designing and documenting network architectures, including HLD and LLD diagrams.
