Your Role as a Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer at Kent, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the site engineering, design review, and execution of projects in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards and international codes. This position offers a unique opportunity to strengthen Kent’s technical capabilities and enhance our reputation in the oil and gas sector. You will be instrumental in driving project success through meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Review and Compliance: Conduct thorough reviews of design packages, including mechanical, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation drawings, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, specifications, and applicable international codes.
• Vendor and Documentation Oversight: Evaluate vendor documents, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and manufacturer data to confirm alignment with project specifications and standards.
• Procurement and Documentation Support: Prepare essential procurement documents, such as Material Take-Offs (MTO), Material Requisitions (MR), and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE). Develop redline markups, weld maps, and as-built documentation, including I-Plant requirements, to ensure accuracy and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Technical Issue Resolution: Identify and report technical issues or deviations, preparing technical queries to address challenges proactively and maintain project momentum.
• Reporting and Procedures: Support the preparation of reports, method statements, and work procedures to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to enhance design accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will bring a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, coupled with 3-4 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas sector. Prior experience working with Saudi Aramco standards and projects is highly desirable. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is essential to support your responsibilities effectively.
