Financial Statements Consolidation Reporting Section Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Statements Consolidation Reporting Section Manager to lead our Financial Reporting Consolidation department. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies while maintaining alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting, supervisory experience, and a deep understanding of accounting principles, with a preference for candidates familiar with the regulatory landscape in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the broader Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Preparation and Consolidation: Lead the collation and consolidation of financial information from multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Accounting Standards, CMA regulations, and STC policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements reports, including the annual PIF group reporting package, and manage internal and external reviews to validate their integrity.
• Auditor Liaison and Compliance: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate quarterly and annual audits of STC’s consolidated financial statements. Ensure timely identification and interpretation of evolving accounting guidance, prepare technical memorandums to document accounting issues clearly, and maintain open communication with the Policy and Procedure department to address accounting matters with management.
• Regulatory and Policy Adherence: Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, providing guidance on complex accounting issues and supporting the harmonization of policies across STC entities as part of the STC Reform initiatives.
• Calendar Management and Deadline Adherence: Develop, maintain, and distribute a comprehensive financial closing calendar to stakeholders, ensuring all parties adhere to critical deadlines for financial closing, reporting, and audit activities. Support month-end and year-end closing processes to maintain operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Act as the primary liaison between the Financial Reporting Consolidation department and external auditors, management, and other stakeholders. Communicate accounting issues, evolving guidance, and audit findings in a clear and concise manner, fostering transparency and alignment with business objectives.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide mentorship and guidance to the reporting team, fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and operational excellence. Work closely with counterparts across STC to ensure consistency in financial reporting practices and policy implementation.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
• Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of six years of progressive experience in financial statement reporting, with at least three years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a large-scale, service-oriented organization. Prior experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region, including familiarity with local regulatory frameworks, is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial consolidation software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex accounting standards are essential.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. The capacity to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and drive process improvements is critical.
