Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diagnostic Radiology Registrar to join our esteemed healthcare team in Yanbu. Key Responsibilities

The Diagnostic Radiology Registrar will be responsible for a diverse set of clinical and administrative duties, including:

• Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, document detailed medical histories, and develop individualized care plans to address specific health needs.
• Diagnostic Imaging and Interpretation: Perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including plain film radiography, contrast studies, intravenous pyelography (IVP), hysterosalpingography (HSG), chest X-rays, general ultrasound (abdominal and obstetrical), and mammograms (without interpretation).
• Treatment and Medication Management: Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and patient safety protocols.
• Patient Education and Counseling: Educate patients on their health conditions, required investigations, treatment options, and medication usage. Provide guidance on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaboration and Specialty Tasks: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Perform additional tasks aligned with specialty privileges, as defined by the Saudi Health Council and institutional guidelines.
• Administrative and Operational Duties: Order and review patient investigations, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Work Environment and Schedule

The Diagnostic Radiology Registrar will operate in a fully indoor clinical setting, providing direct patient care and diagnostic services. The position requires a commitment to a structured work schedule, including:

• Working Days: 6 days per week
• Days Off: 1 day off per week
• Working Hours: 8 net working hours per day, as per the shift schedule approved by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational, professional, and technical criteria:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university.
  • Master’s degree in a related specialty from a recognized university, OR Fellowship with approval from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience following the completion of a Master’s degree, or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty.
• Licensure and Certification:
  • Valid SCFHS license as a Registrar in the related specialty.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in office and health information systems, with the ability to navigate electronic health records and diagnostic software efficiently.
• Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
