The Role: Managing Investments Associate

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Managing Investments Associate (holding CME1 and CME4 certifications) to assume significant responsibility from day one. This role reports directly to the CEO and encompasses portfolio construction, fund operations, and counterparty management. The position offers an opportunity to make an immediate and tangible impact on the business, with clear pathways for professional growth as Miza scales its platform and expands its regional client base.

What You Will Own

• Counterparty Management:
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external partners, including fund houses, custodians, distribution platforms, and global asset managers.
  • Coordinate and execute operational workflows across counterparties to ensure seamless handling of subscriptions, redemptions, and capital calls.
  • Act as Miza’s primary point of contact for routine operational and investment-related inquiries from partners.
• Portfolio Construction & Screening:
  • Assist the investment team in evaluating and selecting funds, managers, and investment strategies for inclusion in client portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive investment universe, including due diligence documentation, comparative analyses, and fee benchmarking.
  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and rebalancing analyses to optimize performance and alignment with client objectives.
• Investment Writing:
  • Prepare investment memos, fund summaries, market commentaries, and client-facing investment notes.
  • Translate complex investment content between English and Arabic to ensure clear and consistent communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Uphold high standards of quality and consistency across all investment-related documentation.
• Fund Operations & Dealing:
  • Support the execution of trades across various asset classes, including funds, equities, and fixed income.
  • Reconcile positions, confirmations, and settlements in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal investment processes as Miza scales its operations.

Measures of Success

Your performance will be evaluated based on the accuracy and timeliness of counterparty operations, the quality and consistency of investment documentation, your contributions to portfolio construction and screening, and your reliability in managing fund operations as Miza grows. Excellence in these areas will directly influence the success and scalability of the business.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and attributes:

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in asset management, wealth management, private banking, or investment operations.
• Holding CME1 and CME4 certifications (mandatory).
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data, fund documentation, and reconciliation processes.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance real workflows, beyond mere drafting assistance.
• Bonus: Prior experience in private markets, alternative investments, or global funds; familiarity with a CMA-regulated environment.
