Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist, Financial Reporting will be entrusted with the following core responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with unwavering attention to detail, ensuring full compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, evaluate performance metrics, and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior management.
• Variance & Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough variance analysis by comparing actual financial results against budgeted figures. Provide in-depth explanations for deviations, highlight performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
• Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust financial forecasts and contribute to monthly plan updates. Ensure that all financial projections align with organizational objectives and strategic goals, while maintaining a forward-looking perspective to support long-term planning.
• Division-Level Reporting: Produce and present detailed financial reports tailored to specific business divisions. Offer a comprehensive overview of financial performance across various segments, enabling stakeholders to assess progress, allocate resources effectively, and make informed decisions.
• Month-End Closing & Audit Assistance: Lead the calculation and verification of month-end financial results, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all reports. Provide critical support during internal and external audit processes by preparing and organizing necessary documentation, facilitating seamless compliance with audit requirements.

Core Competencies & Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, analysis, or a related finance function is essential. Prior exposure to manufacturing or industrial sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Technical & Functional Skills:
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of seniority.
