Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at Bright House Real Estate in Jeddah. This is a full-time, on-site role designed for a finance professional who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a comprehensive range of financial duties, including but not limited to:

• Financial Record-Keeping and Reporting: Accurately record financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with established accounting principles and local regulations.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee the processing of invoices, track receivables and payables, and ensure timely payments and collections to maintain optimal cash flow.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records and identify any discrepancies for prompt resolution.
• Payroll Support: Assist in payroll calculations and ensure accurate disbursement of employee compensation in compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Develop and monitor budgets, forecast financial performance, and provide analytical reports to support management in evaluating operational efficiency and profitability.
• Audit Assistance: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes, ensuring all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available for review.
• Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local accounting regulations, and internal financial controls to mitigate risks and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison with internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders to address financial inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely updates on financial matters.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, implement best practices, and leverage technology to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
• Accounting Expertise: Strong foundation in general ledger management, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and budgeting processes.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards applicable to operations in Jeddah and Saudi Arabia.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in accounting roles within the real estate sector is preferred, as it provides valuable insights into the unique financial challenges and opportunities of the industry.
