Key Responsibilities

The Excavator Operator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support excavation and earth-moving activities. Your primary duties will include:

• Operating Excavators: Safely and efficiently operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, grading, and loading tasks in accordance with project specifications and safety protocols.
• Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and ensuring proper drainage before the commencement of major activities.
• Material Handling: Load and unload materials such as soil, gravel, and construction debris, ensuring accurate placement and minimizing waste.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of the excavator, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and hydraulic systems, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout/tagout procedures, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate activities, interpret blueprints, and ensure project timelines are met.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including hours of operation, fuel consumption, and any incidents or maintenance issues encountered.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Certification: Valid Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or equivalent certification for heavy equipment operation, with a specific endorsement for excavators.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Excavator Operator in construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of excavator controls, safety systems, and operational techniques. Familiarity with modern excavator models and attachments is highly desirable.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods in outdoor environments.
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to workplace safety, with a proven track record of adhering to safety protocols and reducing workplace hazards.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and/or English, with the ability to follow instructions and report issues clearly.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make quick, informed decisions to minimize downtime.
