About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onsite Fire Fighting Equipment and Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia, specifically in Jubail and Yanbu. This critical position requires a professional dedicated to ensuring the operational integrity of firefighting equipment, fire alarm systems, and gas detection solutions. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining safety standards, protecting lives, and safeguarding property through meticulous inspections, testing, and maintenance activities.

Position Summary

As a Fire Technician, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance of firefighting equipment, fire alarm systems, and gas detection systems in accordance with industry regulations and client specifications. Your expertise will be vital in identifying potential hazards, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, and executing corrective and preventive maintenance to uphold the highest safety protocols. This role demands a proactive approach, technical proficiency, and a commitment to excellence in every task performed.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection and Testing:
  • Perform comprehensive inspections of all onsite firefighting equipment to verify functionality and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, fire alarms, and control panels, to ensure operational readiness.
  • Document inspection and test findings accurately, providing detailed reports and recommending necessary repairs or improvements.
• Maintenance – Preventive and Corrective:
  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on firefighting equipment, such as lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements, in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Diagnose and resolve defects or malfunctions in fire alarm systems through corrective maintenance (CM) to restore full operational capacity.
  • Install and commission firefighting equipment, fire alarm systems, gas detection systems, and related components as per project requirements.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict adherence to NFPA standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local fire safety regulations.
  • Follow established safety protocols and utilize appropriate tools and equipment to mitigate risks during all tasks.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and corrective measures implemented.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, foremen, and project teams to meet deadlines and maintain seamless workflows.
  • Engage with clients to provide clear and concise updates on system operations, maintenance requirements, and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education and Experience: Diploma or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field, complemented by proven experience in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm and gas detection systems.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of NFPA standards and safety protocols, with the ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals with precision.
• Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Exceptional analytical skills to identify issues, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions in high-pressure environments.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to liaise with stakeholders, document findings, and convey technical information clearly.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure all inspections, tests, and maintenance activities meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
