Position Overview

Wood is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PMC Lead Communications Engineer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects within the oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, and infrastructure sectors, while collaborating with industry leaders to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities

The PMC Lead Communications Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of communication engineering within large-scale projects. Your core duties will include:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance in communications engineering, ensuring adherence to international codes, standards, and best practices. Coordinate with project discipline leads and engineers to implement robust design solutions.
  • Design and Development: Prepare, review, and approve engineering studies, design drawings, material specifications, and equipment requirements. Ensure designs align with project objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Problem Resolution: Address complex engineering challenges by applying advanced principles, economic evaluations, and industry standards. Drive efficient and cost-effective solutions to meet project milestones.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and professional growth. Coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Project Management: Oversee the implementation of communication systems, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align technical solutions with business goals.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with a specialization in Communications, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience, with a proven track record in oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure projects.
  • Aramco experience is highly desirable, given the scale and complexity of projects in the region.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, and international codes (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ISO) relevant to communications engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams, resolve technical issues, and drive project success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
