Director of Finance and Control – Strategic Leadership in Qiddiya Investment Company

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Finance and Control will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of Qiddiya Investment Company. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that support the company’s long-term goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to optimize resource allocation and profitability.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to tax laws, audit standards, and corporate governance frameworks to mitigate risks and maintain stakeholder trust.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management: Establish and maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of financial data. Lead risk assessment initiatives and implement mitigation strategies to address financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Treasury and Cash Management: Manage liquidity, investments, and cash flow to support the company’s operational and strategic needs. Optimize working capital and debt structures while ensuring compliance with treasury policies and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, board members, and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and auditors. Present financial insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive talent acquisition, training, and succession planning to build a resilient and agile finance function.
  • Technology and Innovation: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge financial technologies (FinTech) and digital tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial processes. Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced professional certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role such as Finance Director, CFO, or Head of Finance in a multinational corporation, investment firm, or large-scale project-based organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), financial modeling tools, and data analytics platforms. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian financial regulations and tax laws is essential.
  • Leadership and Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire and align teams toward common goals. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate complex deals, and drive consensus in high-stakes environments.
