Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and technical specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale engineering projects, including irrigation systems, greenhouse technologies, and automated farming solutions, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies, such as precision agriculture, IoT, and data analytics, to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering activities comply with local and international regulations, industry best practices, and Almarai’s stringent safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and sustainability, to align engineering initiatives with broader business goals and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification in engineering management is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in engineering management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the agricultural, farming, or agribusiness sector.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects, preferably in large-scale farming operations, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
• Strong understanding of modern farming technologies, including precision agriculture, automation, renewable energy integration, and data-driven decision-making tools.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Health and Safety (NEBOSH), or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
