Key Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer - Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the quality assurance processes across our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Quality Assurance Support: Assist in monitoring and evaluating production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to generate actionable insights. Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, trends, and non-conformances, presenting findings to senior team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Process Optimization: Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to address deviations and enhance operational efficiency. Contribute to the implementation of best practices and lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve product consistency.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and compliance records, are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible. Assist in audits and inspections to verify adherence to ISO, HACCP, and other relevant quality management systems.
• Collaboration and Learning: Work closely with quality assurance, production, and R&D teams to foster a culture of quality excellence. Engage in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to expand your technical knowledge and professional competencies in quality engineering.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and derive meaningful conclusions.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, HACCP, or GMP, is a plus.
• Proficiency in using quality tools and methodologies, including SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Six Sigma principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality challenges.
