As a Testing Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining our reputation as a leader in the industry by conducting rigorous tests, analyzing results, and implementing improvements to enhance product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

The Testing Engineer will be tasked with a variety of essential duties, including:

• Product Testing and Validation: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing protocols to evaluate the mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties of cables and related components. Ensure compliance with international standards and industry regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality control, to identify potential defects, minimize risks, and uphold stringent quality benchmarks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Test Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, and maintain advanced testing equipment, including tensile testers, insulation resistance testers, and environmental chambers. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning optimally to deliver accurate and reliable results.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to generate detailed reports and actionable insights. Present findings to management and stakeholders, recommending corrective actions or process improvements as necessary.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving industry standards, such as IEC, UL, and ISO, and ensure all testing procedures align with these requirements. Assist in obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications for products and processes.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve testing anomalies or product failures, working closely with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all testing activities, including test plans, results, and compliance documentation. Ensure traceability and adherence to internal and external audit requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a testing or quality assurance role, preferably within the cable manufacturing or electrical components industry.
• Hands-on experience with testing methodologies and equipment, including familiarity with standards such as IEC 60228, IEC 60502, and UL 1581.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful reports.
• Proficiency in using test software and data analysis tools, such as LabVIEW, Excel, or statistical process control (SPC) software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
