Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Public Relations Coordinator to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in serving as a strategic liaison between McKinsey & Company and key Saudi Arabian government organizations, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of government protocols and compliance requirements. Your contributions will directly influence the firm’s operational efficiency, regulatory adherence, and overall success in the region.

Key Responsibilities

As a Public Relations Coordinator, you will play a central role in managing critical administrative and compliance-related functions, ensuring seamless operations for the firm and its employees. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Government Liaison and Compliance: Act as the primary interface between McKinsey & Company and Saudi government entities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), local consulates, immigration offices, and other regulatory bodies. Proactively monitor and address compliance requirements to avoid penalties and ensure adherence to local laws.
  • Visa and Permit Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of residence permits (Iqamas), work permits, entry and exit visas, and business licenses for employees and their dependents. Coordinate renewals, cancellations, and registrations with precision, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. This includes managing Saudization (Nitaqat) compliance, job title remapping, and block visa allocations.
  • Administrative Coordination: Facilitate the issuance of attested invitation letters, commercial registrations, and other documentation required for business visas and regulatory approvals. Work closely with the Chamber of Commerce and other entities to streamline processes and resolve any administrative hurdles.
  • Regulatory Monitoring and Reporting: Stay abreast of evolving regulatory changes, including updates from the MHRSD, GOSI, and other authorities. Provide timely insights and actionable recommendations to leadership to ensure proactive compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Internal Consultation and Training: Serve as the firm’s internal subject matter expert on visa formalities, government protocols, and compliance requirements. Educate and guide teams across the organization to ensure consistent adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, consulate staff, and other key stakeholders. Represent the firm professionally in all interactions, fostering trust and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in compliance, legal, or administrative fields are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public relations, government liaison, administrative coordination, or a similar role within a corporate or consulting environment. Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with government portals, visa management systems, and compliance tracking tools is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to rapidly changing regulatory landscapes. Fluency in English and Arabic is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Demonstrated integrity, ethical judgment, and a commitment to excellence. A proactive mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous learning are critical for success in this role.
