Senior Accountant - Dubai, UAE

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in our finance function, driving accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and all balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and company finance policies.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by providing accurate documentation.
• Review payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support ERP (Odoo) implementation and continuous process improvements.
• Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance as required.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or CFO.

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and a professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior Accountant role, is required. Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Experience in healthcare, clinics, laboratories, or a multi-company group environment, along with familiarity with finance policies, internal controls, and cost accounting, would be an asset.
