Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including the management of financial transactions, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior management to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure adherence to Saudi tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, managing tax filings, and staying abreast of changes in tax laws to minimize liabilities and avoid penalties.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes, ensuring all financial records are audit-ready and compliant with applicable standards.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership, to develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive sustainable growth.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of technical expertise, analytical acumen, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two years in a Senior Accountant role or equivalent leadership position.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems (preferably ODOO) and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to leverage these platforms for complex financial modeling and reporting.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles, standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and Saudi tax regulations, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance in financial operations.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a problem-solving mindset to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels. A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams is essential.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in the healthcare or biotech industry is advantageous, as it demonstrates familiarity with the unique financial and regulatory challenges of these sectors.
