Position Overview
RiDiK Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure FinOps & Cloud Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing Azure cloud costs while ensuring financial governance, accurate reporting, and strategic cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of financial acumen, technical expertise in Azure cloud services, and a proven track record in cloud cost management and optimization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive financial efficiency and accountability within a global technology solutions provider.
Key Responsibilities
As an Azure FinOps & Cloud Cost Analyst, your core responsibilities will include:
- Cost Monitoring and Reconciliation:
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly Azure consumption, charges, credits, commitments, and spending trends to ensure financial transparency.
- Reconcile Azure invoices and billing statements against Cost Management data, exports, agreed rates, credits, and adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Analyze costs by subscription, resource group, service, environment, application, owner, project, and business unit to identify cost drivers and trends.
- Reporting and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain reliable monthly cost reports, explaining material changes, unusual charges, and key cost drivers to stakeholders.
- Track Azure credit burn rates and forecast depletion dates using documented assumptions and scenarios to support financial planning.
- Produce monthly rolling forecasts for Azure spend and consumption, incorporating actual usage, seasonality, project demand, commitments, and expected optimization benefits.
- Estimate new workload costs using the Azure Pricing Calculator and documented technical assumptions provided by solution owners.
- Optimization and Savings Realization:
- Identify and quantify optimization opportunities, including rightsizing, idle or orphaned resources, shutdown schedules, storage tiers, licensing benefits, reservations, savings plans, and architecture-related cost improvements.
- Maintain an optimization pipeline that tracks opportunity value, owner, action, approval status, implementation date, risk, and expected payback.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, data, security, and service owners to validate feasibility and agree on implementation actions.
- Track recommendations through implementation and verify realized savings against an agreed baseline, ensuring that only implemented savings are reported.
- Highlight cost-risk trade-offs to ensure that optimization efforts do not compromise availability, performance, security, or business continuity.
- Governance and Budget Support:
- Configure and support budgets, alerts, anomaly reviews, tagging controls, and recurring governance routines to enforce financial discipline.
- Prepare concise monthly dashboards covering actuals, forecast, variance, cost drivers, credits, commitments, optimization pipeline, realized savings, and key risks for leadership review.
- Provide Azure actuals, forecast, and variance inputs to the IT budget owner to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Assist with non-Azure budget activities only when capacity allows, ensuring that the primary focus remains on Azure FinOps and cost optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve Azure financial governance, cost ownership, and accountability across the organization.
- Maintain auditable calculation logic, source data, assumptions, and evidence for reported savings and forecasts to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Translate complex technical consumption data into clear financial insights and actionable recommendations for both technical and management audiences.

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
