Position Overview

We are partnering with a premier pharmaceutical organization to recruit a highly skilled Medical Advisor – Oncology based in Riyadh. This pivotal role is designed for a dedicated professional who will serve as a medical expert, bridging the gap between scientific innovation and clinical practice. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing oncology therapeutics while ensuring alignment with global and local healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Scientific and Medical Expertise: Develop and maintain deep scientific and medical knowledge in oncology to support the company’s therapeutic portfolio. Stay abreast of the latest clinical data, regulatory updates, and therapeutic advancements to provide accurate and insightful guidance.
• Medical Engagement and Exchange: Facilitate meaningful scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and medical organizations. Lead scientific exchanges to disseminate critical medical information and foster collaborative relationships.
• Clinical Presentations and Medical Inquiries: Deliver high-impact clinical presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including healthcare providers and internal stakeholders. Respond to medical inquiries with precision, ensuring compliance with global and local policies while maintaining scientific integrity.
• Patient and Formulary Support: Provide medical support for patients and formulary access products, adhering to established policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of medical insights into commercial and regulatory strategies.
• Medical Activity Development: Support the planning, implementation, and execution of medical activities, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and observational research. Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines, company SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and nurture strong relationships with internal departments such as Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory to align medical strategies with business objectives. Serve as a medical expert for internal training initiatives, enhancing the scientific acumen of sales and marketing teams.
• Scientific Meeting Participation: Represent the company at relevant scientific conferences and medical meetings. Develop comprehensive summaries of key data, presentations, and symposiums to inform internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: Hold a Medical Degree (MD), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or a relevant life-science qualification.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in oncology medical affairs.
• Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in oncology therapeutic areas and a comprehensive understanding of the Saudi healthcare landscape, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
• Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional scientific communication abilities, with a talent for delivering complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Strong presentation skills are essential for engaging with external experts and internal teams.
• Relationship Management: Proven ability to engage effectively with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve shared objectives.
