Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of financial analysis projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight in all financial planning and reporting activities. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving informed decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This position requires a proactive professional with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional quantitative skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Develop, refine, and execute the company’s expense plans, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial projections. Ensure alignment with strategic business objectives while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Variance Analysis and Reporting: At month-end, prepare comprehensive commentary on budget, projection, and actual variances. Identify trends, root causes, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
- Financial Systems Management: Accurately update and maintain financial systems with actual results, forecasts, and budgets. Ensure data integrity and timely processing to support accurate and reliable financial reporting.
- Vendor and Allowance Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to facilitate the on-time processing of allowances and payments. Maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring compliance with contractual terms and internal policies.
- Compliance and Governance: Uphold rigorous adherence to internal accounting standards, financial policies, and external regulatory requirements. Implement best practices to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related discipline. Prior experience in a senior or leadership role is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models, pivot tables, and automated reporting tools. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial software is a valuable asset.
- Analytical and Quantitative Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Strong quantitative acumen with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to foster cross-functional collaboration.
