About the Role

Food People, in collaboration with a prominent FMCG company with a rapidly expanding regional presence and an ambitious growth strategy across multiple business divisions, is seeking a seasoned Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This pivotal role will report directly to the Group CEO and work closely with the Board of Directors to shape the financial direction, governance, and long-term sustainability of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic finance leader with a strong commercial mindset, capable of driving financial excellence while supporting rapid business expansion in a dynamic regional market.

Key Responsibilities

The Group CFO will be responsible for a comprehensive range of financial leadership duties, including:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Developing and executing a robust Group finance strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
• Executive Partnership: Collaborating closely with the Group CEO and Board to provide strategic financial insights, support informed decision-making, and drive the company’s long-term vision.
• Financial Planning & Performance: Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance management across the Group to ensure operational efficiency and financial health.
• Governance & Compliance: Establishing and maintaining strong governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing robust internal controls to mitigate risks.
• Treasury & Risk Management: Overseeing treasury operations, cash flow management, taxation, audit processes, and financial risk mitigation to safeguard the company’s financial stability.
• Commercial Insight: Providing data-driven financial analysis to support commercial decision-making, including pricing strategies, investment evaluations, and capital allocation.
• Finance Transformation: Driving continuous improvement and transformation initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency, scalability, and strategic value.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, regulators, investors, and key business partners to foster trust and collaboration.
• Leadership & Development: Leading and developing a high-performing finance team while strengthening financial capabilities across the organization to support business growth.

Key Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Educational Background: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, complemented by a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, or ACCA.
• Industry Expertise: Significant senior finance leadership experience within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector, with a strong background in manufacturing finance.
• Multinational Experience: Prior experience in multinational businesses, transitioning into regional or local leadership roles to drive operational and financial success.
• Board & Executive Experience: Proven track record in managing relationships with Boards and executive stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to influence and drive strategic outcomes.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong business partnering skills and commercial mindset, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
• Leadership in Growth Environments: Demonstrated experience in leading finance functions within growing and evolving organizations, adapting to changing business dynamics.
• Regional Experience: Prior experience in Saudi Arabia is essential to understand the local market dynamics and regulatory landscape.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with a hands-on approach capable of thriving in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic is preferred to facilitate effective communication with local stakeholders and teams.
