The Role of Pricing Specialist, Orthopedics

As a Pricing Specialist in the Orthopedics division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic pricing priorities to drive value-based pricing and maximize the impact of innovation. This role is instrumental in ensuring that our pricing strategies align with market demands, regulatory guidelines, and business objectives, ultimately supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare solutions to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Pricing Support: Proactively engage with business partners to provide guidance on strategic pricing priorities, ensuring alignment with value-based pricing principles and the maximization of innovation value.
• Pricing Analysis and Recommendations: Support the Pricing Lead in conducting multi-factor pricing analysis to identify trends, root causes of profitability challenges, and price erosion. Develop actionable recommendations to address these issues and enhance financial performance.
• Tender Management: Collaborate closely with the Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure accurate code configuration for tenders. Analyze tender quotation prices and profitability, conduct win/loss reviews, and perform pricing simulations to build tender intelligence and increase future success rates.
• Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and EMEA pricing governance guidelines, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of pricing processes.
• Reporting and Analytics: Guarantee the continuity, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly pricing reports and business reviews. Continuously improve pricing reporting and analytics by creating and maintaining advanced pricing dashboards to provide actionable insights.
• Profitability Optimization: Drive initiatives to improve product mix and profitability, including supporting price escalations in accordance with guidelines. Provide detailed price analysis to support discussions and optimize SGP through price, volume, and mix considerations.
• Training and Development: Support pricing training initiatives to enhance the skills of the Sales & Marketing team. Focus on influencing price decision-making processes, improving product value understanding, and ensuring correct product positioning and segmentation in the market.
• Database Management: Ensure the accuracy and upkeep of the product database and price list, maintaining alignment with evolving market conditions and regulatory requirements.

Location and Contract

This full-time position is based in either Dubai, United Arab Emirates, or Riyadh/Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We seek a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of advancing health for humanity.
