Key Responsibilities

Clinical Teaching and Supervision

The Clinical Instructor will lead and support students through their clinical rotations, providing hands-on guidance and mentorship. Responsibilities include:

• Supervising students during clinical rotations, practical sessions, and patient interactions to ensure safe and effective learning experiences.
• Delivering high-quality bedside teaching, case discussions, and clinical demonstrations to reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical application.
• Facilitating the development of critical clinical skills, including patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Ensuring that all clinical activities adhere to ethical standards, professional conduct, and institutional policies.
• Incorporating simulation-based training methodologies to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for real-world clinical scenarios.

Student Assessment and Support

The role requires a proactive approach to student development, including:

• Evaluating students’ clinical performance using structured and objective assessment tools to measure progress and competency.
• Providing timely, constructive, and actionable feedback to support continuous improvement in clinical skills and professional behavior.
• Acting as a mentor to guide students through academic challenges, clinical uncertainties, and personal development milestones.

Academic and Administrative Duties

The Clinical Instructor will contribute to the academic and administrative functions of the General Medicine Program by:

• Participating in structured student evaluations, including Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), to assess clinical competency and readiness for independent practice.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of student attendance, evaluations, and performance reports to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with faculty members, clinical teams, and hospital partners to align teaching objectives with program goals and healthcare industry requirements.
• Leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools to streamline teaching delivery, documentation, and student engagement.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Hold an MBBS degree or equivalent qualification in Medicine from a recognized institution.
• Possess a valid professional license or registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), where applicable.
• Minimum of one year of clinical practice experience in a relevant medical field.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching, supervision, or mentorship is highly desirable but not mandatory for motivated candidates.
