Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team in Ras Tanura. In this pivotal role, you will provide advanced clinical support to dentists and dental therapists, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care through specialized procedures and efficient operational workflows. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Dental Assistant will perform a diverse range of specialized tasks to support comprehensive dental care, including:

• Clinical Assistance: Provide four-handed dentistry support to dentists and dental therapists during a wide array of procedures, including diagnostic, operative, surgical, periodontal, preventive, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pedodontic treatments.
• Procedure-Specific Tasks: Place and remove rubber dams, temporary restorations, and polishing of restorations. Prepare and apply periodontal dressings, matrices, intracoronal provisional restorations, retraction cords, bases, and liners. Additionally, take alginate impressions for study models and remove surgical sutures.
• Preventive Care: Apply topical fluoride treatments, including foam and varnish, and polish clinical crowns to remove stains. Fabricate and cement provisional crowns and bridges, ensuring precise removal of excess cement to maintain optimal patient comfort and treatment integrity.
• Operational Support: Prepare and dismiss patients efficiently, sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, provide postoperative instructions, maintain adequate supplies, and ensure accurate record-keeping to support seamless clinical operations.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Collaborate closely with the dental team to optimize procedural efficiency and provide guidance and support to Associate Dental Aides, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Cross-Facility Collaboration: Work across various dental service facilities as assigned, receiving supervision and technical guidance from the dentist while reporting to the Supervisor of Dental Support to ensure consistency in care delivery and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Assisting or a related field.
• Certifications: Valid SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) certification, as applicable to the role.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant, with a proven track record in clinical support and procedural assistance.
• Language Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in English and basic proficiency in Arabic to facilitate effective communication with patients and team members.
