Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks to uphold the highest standards of property upkeep. Your duties will include:

• Preventive Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues across various systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and plumbing, to ensure uninterrupted service for guests and staff.
• Emergency Response: Responding promptly to maintenance emergencies, such as leaks, electrical failures, or HVAC breakdowns, to mitigate disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.
• Guest Room Maintenance: Ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are well-maintained, clean, and fully functional to meet Marriott’s stringent standards.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhering to all safety protocols, local regulations, and Marriott’s policies to create a secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets.
• Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other departments, such as housekeeping, engineering, and front desk, to coordinate maintenance activities and address operational needs efficiently.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, and supplies, while ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to support ongoing operations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Certifications: Valid trade certifications or licenses relevant to maintenance, such as HVAC certification, electrical licensing, or plumbing credentials, are highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, coupled with strong analytical abilities to diagnose complex problems.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
