Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Clerk-Front Desk Associate to join our dynamic team at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our valued guests, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of guest services, administrative tasks, and operational coordination, all while upholding the high standards of hospitality that define our brand.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clerk-Front Desk Associate, your core duties will include:

• Guest Check-In and Check-Out: Process all guest reservations by confirming details, assigning appropriate rooms, and issuing and activating room keys. Handle all payment methods, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit cards, with precision and professionalism. Resolve any late or disputed charges during check-out to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Guest Communication and Service: Answer, record, and process all guest inquiries, requests, messages, or concerns promptly and courteously. Coordinate with the Housekeeping department to verify room readiness for check-in. Provide guests with clear directions, property information, and local area recommendations to enhance their stay.
• Administrative and Operational Duties: Generate and review daily reports, including arrivals, departures, and special requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the property management system. Cash personal and traveler’s checks as required, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures by counting funds at the beginning and end of each shift. Balance and deposit receipts according to Accounting specifications.
• Safety, Security, and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management immediately. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and expectations.
• Guest Relations and Professionalism: Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs proactively. Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to guests for their patronage. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests, using appropriate telephone etiquette.
• Team Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across departments to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Perform additional reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors to support operational excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: No prior related work experience is required; however, a passion for hospitality and guest service is essential.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
• Certifications or Licenses: None required.
