Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Specialized Cleaning Operations: Execute comprehensive cleaning procedures tailored to PWHT plant environments, including the removal of post-weld residues, scale, and contaminants from equipment, pipelines, and work areas to prevent operational disruptions and ensure optimal performance.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere rigorously to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard identification, and emergency response procedures. Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing industrial cleaning and PWHT operations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and operate specialized cleaning equipment, such as high-pressure washers, steam cleaners, and vacuum systems, to ensure their reliability and efficiency in PWHT plant settings.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment inspections, and safety incidents. Prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting any issues or recommendations for process improvements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, supervisors, and safety officers, to coordinate cleaning schedules, address operational challenges, and implement best practices for maintaining a pristine and safe work environment.
• Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on the latest advancements in industrial cleaning technologies and PWHT plant operations. Share knowledge with colleagues to enhance team competency and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Cleaning Technician, with a proven track record in PWHT plant environments or similar industrial settings.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment, chemical handling, and safety procedures specific to PWHT operations. Knowledge of post-weld heat treatment processes is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in industrial cleaning, safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH), and equipment operation are preferred. Certifications related to PWHT or thermal processing are a significant advantage.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Must meet the medical and physical fitness standards required for industrial environments.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders. Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot cleaning challenges, identify root causes of equipment or process inefficiencies, and propose practical solutions.
