Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Control Engineer specializing in Reporting and Power BI to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in enhancing project delivery through advanced data analytics, reporting, and visualization solutions. Your expertise will drive informed decision-making, improve project performance, and ensure seamless stakeholder communication across complex construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Control Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights into project performance, including cost, schedule, and risk metrics. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for all stakeholders.
• Project Control Integration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to integrate reporting tools with existing project control systems. Align reporting frameworks with organizational standards and industry best practices.
• Advanced Data Visualization: Design and implement interactive dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex project data to non-technical audiences. Tailor reporting solutions to meet the specific needs of diverse project teams and executive stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy through automation, data validation, and process optimization. Recommend and implement improvements to existing reporting frameworks to drive operational excellence.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between project teams and the IT/data analytics department to ensure reporting solutions meet business requirements. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reporting best practices.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all reporting activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting methodologies, data sources, and analytical processes.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service) and advanced Excel skills (VBA, pivot tables, macros). Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Project Control Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in project control, cost management, or scheduling within the construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas sectors. Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is essential.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Proven track record in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through data-driven analysis.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to lead reporting initiatives, mentor junior team members, and drive continuous improvement in reporting practices. Experience in managing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
