Assistant Manager - Commercial (HB4)
The successful candidate will support the Commercial Manager and wider team in managing all project commercial aspects, ensuring contractual compliance, and driving cost optimization. This role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, tracking budgets, and coordinating with various teams to maintain accurate cost tracking and cash flow forecasting.
- Support the Commercial Manager and wider team in managing project commercial matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and consultant agreements
- Monitor contractor and consultant performance for contractual compliance
- Track project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Contribute to procurement strategies aligning with Qiddiya's vision and delivery timelines
- Process and submit interim and final payment applications
- Coordinate with project controls, finance, and delivery teams for accurate cost tracking and cash flow forecasting
- Maintain commercial registers including bonds, insurances, variations, claims, and change orders
- Visit construction sites regularly to check project progress and liaise with contractors
- Support cost optimization initiatives and resolution of commercial disputes
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders for timely delivery of commercial documentation
- Prepare commercial reports and presentations for QIC senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with Qiddiya's governance, audit, and reporting frameworks
- Participate in risk identification and mitigation related to commercial and contractual matters
- Support benchmarking, market analysis, and value engineering initiatives
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roles within large-scale infrastructure, entertainment, or real estate projects. Experience working on Saudi giga projects or with government-backed entities is highly desirable. Proficiency in commercial software tools and excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, with Arabic language skills being a plus. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment with complex stakeholder dynamics is crucial.
