About the Role
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is seeking a skilled and technically proficient ERP Officer to join our Design Engineering Division. Reporting directly to the 3D Modeling Engineer, this position is pivotal in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution system (MES), and document management system (DMS). The ERP Officer will play a central role in driving digital transformation initiatives, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing operational efficiency across manufacturing, engineering, and business processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for leveraging technology to streamline operations and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
The ERP Officer will be responsible for a wide range of technical and operational duties, including:
- ERP System Administration: Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP modules to ensure seamless business operations. This includes configuring, customizing, and troubleshooting workflows, reports, and dashboards to meet evolving business needs.
- MES Integration: Integrate the ERP system with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to enable real-time production monitoring, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making across the manufacturing floor.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Production, and HR to capture business requirements, implement system solutions, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and productivity.
- User Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to end-users on ERP and MES functionalities, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the systems effectively and maximize their potential.
- Vendor & Consultant Coordination: Liaise with external vendors and consultants to facilitate system upgrades, address technical challenges, and ensure the ERP, MES, and DMS remain aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals.
- Data Governance & Security: Maintain high standards of data accuracy, system security, and compliance with IT policies to safeguard sensitive information and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Document Management: Administer and maintain the Document Management System (DMS) to control engineering drawings, design records, and technical documentation. Support the 3D Modeling Engineer and design team in managing revision control, access rights, and efficient retrieval of critical design records.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and drive continuous improvement within the organization. Implement new techniques, technologies, or system upgrades to optimize design and machining processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of designs and related documentation. Provide technical support for product documentation creation across factory sites and review produced documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational standards.
Accountability & Performance Metrics
The ERP Officer will be held accountable for the following key performance indicators:
- Ensuring the accuracy of ERP, MES, and DMS technical and master data to support informed decision-making.
- Reducing data errors that may impact operational efficiency and business continuity.
- Adhering to ERP change control and approval requirements to maintain system integrity and compliance.
Qualifications & Competencies
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:
- Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, with a preference for modules related to Supply Chain and Production. Prior experience with MES systems and manufacturing process integration is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, or related reporting and analytics tools is considered an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex system issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Awareness of American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and their application to casting and forging design is beneficial.
- Solid knowledge of data governance principles and IT change control practices to ensure system reliability and compliance.
